Thanks! I was starting to experience problems such as only having 20/300 vision with my left eye with my recently bought (extra thick) glasses. Everything is fine now.

Very glad your eye surgery seems to be working. Having been sight impaired since birth (extreme astigmatism), I can especially relate to the circumstance you found yourself in.

Truer words have rarely been spoken. I recall quite a few years ago, when I was considering corrective surgery on my eyes, but eventually decided against it.

For the brief amount of time I tried to wear contact lenses, it was remarkable (and strange) how different people’s reactions would be when we first met, or even among people who had known me for years with my ridiculously thick glasses. It really was an almost entirely different experience … but, after suffering the misery of trying virtually every type of contact lens known to exist at the time, I gave up on the entire process (crystals would form almost immediately underneath the contacts, it was like having sand paper perpetually scraping across my eyes). It just wasn’t worth the trouble.

But at least in my case, this was an elective type of correction, it was not a case of possibly going blind without the surgery.
