Jack Uldrich

Jack Uldrich is the author of the award-winning, bestseller, The Next Big Thing is Really Small: How Nanotechnology Will Change the Future of Your Business, and is president of The NanoVeritas Group — an international leadership and technology consultancy dedicated to helping business, government, and non-profit organizations prepare for and profit from the emerging field of nanotechnology. Clients include Fortune 100 companies, venture capital firms and state and regional governments.
 
Jack authored Investing in Nanotechnology: Think Small. Win Big and Into the Unknown: Leadership Lessons from Lewis & Clark’s Daring Westward Expedition, and the innovative Amazon downloads A cautionary tale: nanotechnology and the changing face of the electric utility industry and Why Nanotechnology will arrive sooner than expected. He also authored Creating a New Minnesota, IBM’s Mid-“Life” Crisis, Could the Grim Reaper Be a Robot?, and A Nanotech Approach to Cancer. His written works have also appeared in Leader to Leader, The Futurist, The Scientist, CityBusiness, The Futures Research Quarterly, TechStation Central and scores of other newspapers around the country.
 
He is a frequent speaker on the nanotechnology lecture circuit and has addressed numerous businesses, trade associations and investment groups, including General Mills, Pfizer, and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. He is a regular guest on the award winning program, Almanac, and has appeared on CNN numerous times. A former naval intelligence officer and Defense Department official, he also served as the Director of the Minnesota Office of Strategic and Long Range Planning under Governor Jesse Ventura.
