Dr. Fred Alan Wolf

Fred “Dr. Quantum” Alan Wolf, Ph.D. is a world-renowned physicist, writer, and lecturer who also conducts research on the relationship of quantum physics to consciousness.
 
He is the author of 12 books, 3 audio CD courses, many scientific and popular articles, and he received the National Book Award for Taking the Quantum Leap: The New Physics for Nonscientists. He is a member of the Martin Luther King, Jr. Collegium of Scholars and was Professor of physics at San Diego State University for twelve years as well as visiting professors at many international universities including the Universities of Paris and London. He has appeared in many nationally released films including What the Bleep Do We Know, The Secret, The Evidence for Heaven, Star Trek IV, Special Collector’s edition discussing ‘Time Travel: The art of the possible’, Spirit Space: A Journey Into Your Consciousness, and many other films.
 
Fred has been interviewed on several radio and television programs including New Dimensions Radio, Western Public Radio, National Public Radio, and many others. He was the visiting scholar/scientist-in-residence in the Pacific Northwest sponsored by The Institute for Science, Technology, and Public Policy during the spring season, 1994. He has spoken numerous times before The Commonwealth Club of San Francisco, The Smithsonian Museum in Washington, DC, and several other prominent organizations and been interviewed on a number of television shows between the years 1995 to the present including: The Discovery Channel’s The Know Zone, Sightings, The Thinking Allowed Television Series, The Malone show, The Evidence for Heaven, Star Trek IV, Special Collector’s edition, The Fabric of Time, The Case for Christ’s Resurrection, Down the Rabbit Hole, and the PBS series Closer to Truth.

Fred has taught at the University of London, the University of Paris, the Hahn-Meitner Institute for Nuclear Physics in Berlin, The Hebrew University of Jerusalem, and San Diego State University in the United States. His work in quantum physics and consciousness is well known through his popular and scientific writing.
 
His fascination with the world of physics began one afternoon as a child at a local matinee, when the newsreel revealed the awesome power and might of the world’s first atomic explosion. This fascination continued, leading him to study mathematics and physics.
 
In 1963, he earned his Ph.D. in theoretical physics from UCLA and began researching the field of high atmospheric particle behavior following a nuclear explosion. His inquiring mind has delved into the relationship between human consciousness, psychology, physiology, the mystical, and the spiritual. His investigations have taken him from intimate discussions with physicist David Bohm to the magical and mysterious jungles of Peru, from master classes with Nobel Laureate Richard Feynman to the high deserts of Mexico, from a significant meeting with Werner Heisenberg to the hot coals of a firewalk.
 
In academia, Fred has challenged minds at San Diego State University, the University of Paris, the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, the University of London, Birkbeck College, and many other institutions of higher learning. He is best known for his contributions through technical papers and popular books, but he is frequently in demand as a lecturer, keynote speaker, and consultant to industry and the media.
