Jerry Searcy, HSD, GHS
Jerry Searcy, HSD, GHS was Vice President of Lifeboat Foundation from
February 1, 2002 to August 19, 2008.
Jerry served in the Air Force from 1960 to 1964,
where he serviced
equipment used to maintain fighter jets. After this he attended school
learning computer programming. He worked for the Nevada Power Company
from
1966 to 1969, and after that worked for Clark County Public Works until
retiring in 1997 when he relocated to Scottsdale to work as a volunteer
for Alcor.
As a man who values his life, Jerry joined Alcor in 1978, over a
quarter of century ago, when Alcor was only six years old and had
only 65 members.
His ambition is to stay alive as long as possible and experience space
travel.
An avid astronomy buff, Jerry enjoys looking through the 60 inch
telescope at Mount Wilson. He also enjoys cruises and the buffets in
Las Vegas where he always has a successful “hunt”.
Jerry has provided $5,000 in matching funds for the

for iTunes program and our
University Outreach program.
