Gary Jay Alan
Gary Jay Alan is Cofounder and Director of the Alliance for Longevity Science, Arts & Entertainment (ALSAE) and Founder and Creative Director of Moonburn Creative. He is a designer, product developer, filmmaker, and creative strategist whose work lives at the intersection of technology, culture, and the science of healthy human longevity, applying more than three decades of marketing, branding, and storytelling experience to the effort to end age-related disease.
Pronounced “all say”, ALSAE is a pioneering nonprofit that unites longevity science with the arts and entertainment industry to inspire a cultural shift that accelerates progress against the chronic diseases of aging, including Alzheimer’s, cancer, and cardiovascular disease.
Gary cofounded ALSAE with his wife and collaborator, the Argentine-American singer, composer, and longevity advocate Maria Entraigues Alan, and the organization launched publicly in Los Angeles in October 2025. He describes ALSAE’s work as curating salons, immersive laboratory visits, and collaborations with creators and scientists that inspire storytellers to imagine a new narrative of aging — one in which growing older no longer means growing sick. The foundation launched with a coalition of creators, scientists, and industry leaders that includes Cultural Ambassadors such as music legend Herbie Hancock and our actor-director Edward James Olmos, and Scientific Ambassadors such as Eric Verdin, MD, President and CEO of the Buck Institute for Research on Aging, and our Jamie Justice, PhD, Executive Director of XPRIZE Healthspan.
Founding partners include XPRIZE Healthspan, the Aoki Foundation, and the Buck Institute for Research on Aging, with the Methuselah Foundation serving as fiscal sponsor, while Founding Vision Circle members include the Life Extension group, Kimera Labs, Cyclarity Therapeutics, Open Cures, and Intervene Immune.
As an example of this programming, ALSAE has brought groups of Hollywood creators into the laboratory, including a visit to the Lundquist Institute at Harbor–UCLA Medical Center to tour the Intervene Immune labs. Learn more about Gary’s role and the wider coalition on the ALSAE team page.
