Professor Irene J. Dabrowski
Irene J. Dabrowski, Ph.D. is
Associate Professor of Sociology,
Department of Sociology and Anthropology,
St. John’s University.
Irene specializes in the sociology of medicine, urban sociology, women’s
studies, and the sociology of education. She is a Hastings Center
Scholar who conducts research on alternative and holistic health care
and
emerging educational models. Her teaching emphasizes holistic thought
processes, globalism, and the environment. The focus of her current
research is on interdisciplinarity and its implications for futuristic
thinking processes.
