Professor Thomas Herdin

Thomas Herdin, Ph.D. is Assistant Professor of Communication Science at the University of Salzburg, Austria.
 
Tom earned his Ph.D. from the University of Salzburg. He bases his teaching of Intercultural Communication on first-hand experience in very different parts of the world. He studied in Denmark, Switzerland, and Central America; worked as a marketing manager in Thailand, and as a tourism consultant in Nepal.
 
As Assistant Professor of Communication at the University of Salzburg, he heads a field research and exchange program with Fudan University, Shanghai, China. His research emphasis is in intercultural and tourism management.
