Dr. Tovah Wolf

Tovah Wolf, Ph.D., MS, RDN, LDN is a Board Certified Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN), Nutrition Science Expert and Counselor, Science Communicator, and Educator. She works at TDWOLF Nutrition offering consulting services and at LifeCare Alliance.

Through LifeCare Alliance, Tovah provides in-home Medical Nutrition Therapy to clients, participates in research projects relevant to the community, and responds to “Meals on Wheels” calls for therapeutic meal selection for different medical conditions.

In 2021, Tovah was Science Writer at the Lifespan Extension Advocacy Foundation (Lifespan.io) and a Nutritional Advisor at Crowd Funded Cures.

Between 2019 and 2021, Tovah was the Principal Investigator and Assistant Professor at Western Carolina University. She established the research agenda on healthy aging and lectured on Nutritional Biochemistry, Advanced Nutrition, Nutrition Counseling, Medical Nutrition Therapy, Food Nutrition & Culture, and Nutrition Assessment.

Tovah earned her Ph.D. in Nutritional Sciences at Iowa State University in 2019 with the dissertation Chronic Disease Prevention: Nutrition and Behavioral Neuroscience Approaches.

She earned her Master’s Degree of Science in Nutrition and Health Sciences at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 2015 with the thesis Transport of bovine milk exosomes (microRNA containing) by human colon carcinoma Caco-2 cells and rat small intestinal IEC-6 cells.

In 2010, Tovah earned her Bachelor’s Degree of Science in Dietetics and Psychology from the University of North Dakota.

She began her career in 2010 as a Registered Dietitian at UNJURY® Protein and OPURITY® Vitamins where she offered nutritional advice to customers and health care providers (HCPs) via phone and email across Bariatrics, Diabetes, Oncology, Pediatrics, Geriatrics, and Pregnancy therapeutic areas.

She continued as Dietitian for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) and provided nutrition counseling for WIC participants, breastfeeding support, supervised WIC staff members, and implemented WIC program policies in adherence to program standards and federal regulations.

In 2012, she was Clinical Dietitian at the Cherrydale Health & Rehabilitation Center where she advised patients on nutrition for Cardiovascular Disease, Diabetes, Geriatrics, Cancer, Infectious Diseases, Pulmonary Disorders, and others.

In 2013, Tovah became Graduate Research Assistant and Master’s Student in Nutrition & Health Sciences at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and became Lecturer & RDN for the CardioRACE Human Study there after graduation, until 2019.

In 2018, she also became Adjunct Lecturer in the Biology Department at Grand View University, where she taught Introduction to Nutrition during the last year of her Ph.D. degree to gain additional teaching experience.

Tovah is a member of the Society for Nutrition Education and Behavior where she leads the Healthy Aging Division and is a member of the Dietitians in Business and Communications Group at the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
